Care Assistant

A fully automated system that gives information about the quality and effectiveness of treatment. The patient is not left alone after discharge, but is monitored with the help of Care Assistant. Caring about the patient and following the impact of treatment improves the doctor-patient relationship.

By sending an SMS or e-mail to patients prior to their admission to, and discharge from, hospital, comparable, anonymous data is collected. Thus comparable statistical data of, e.g., necessary sick leave, follow-up appointments and possible infections is created. This information can be analysed by using different parameters, such as age and gender, and examined from different points-of-view.

Case: A knee joint arthroscopy is carried out and the patient is discharged the same day. After two weeks and, again, after two months the Care Assistant sends the patient a questionnaire which asks: What is the mobility of the knee compared to the situation before the arthroscopy? If the answer is, after two weeks, “weaker” but, after two months, “better” then the operation has helped.
